Bump

Pregnancy is a beautiful, wonderful time in life, that I think far more of us should document. Carrying a baby is one of the most incredible things which a body can do, it is exciting and nerve racking all at the same time, and I try and capture the emotions and bond already present between mum and baby. I know that the thought for some of getting in front of the camera when you may be feeling big or bloated can be daunting, but they are such special memories and I don’t know anyone who hasn’t looked back on pregnancy photos with real fondness.

Pregnancy shoots can be done at any time, but usually from around 34 weeks and onwards. Some prefer earlier to make sure we don’t miss it in case baby decides to make an early entrance, whereas some feel there is more time once they have perhaps finished work and are on their maternity leave.

Bump photos can be done in many different styles, and people often choose to have partners and others siblings in the images also. Whether you choose to have your bump clothed, exposed or something in between is totally up to you, but always worth having a think about what you might prefer before the shoot.

I also work closely with a local doula, together, offering bump photography with the option to add a Relax and Release session https://www.blossom-baby.co.uk/relax-release-into-birth

These are sessions where mum gets pampered and the opportunity to help clear the pathway for birth, whilst I click and take unposed, natural photographs of you and your bump.

If you are interested in a Bump or a Relax and Release session, it is always best to get it booked in. Dates can always be amended depending on how things are progressing.
